FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

The questions executive sponsors, procurement teams and technology leaders ask most often before beginning a conversation with us.

Engagement Model
What does a typical first engagement look like?+
Most relationships begin with a 3 to 6 week diagnostic — a fixed-scope assessment of value, feasibility and readiness — before committing to a build. The diagnostic produces an executive-grade roadmap, an architecture sketch and a defensible business case.
Do you offer fixed-price or time-and-materials engagements?+
Diagnostics and well-scoped builds are typically fixed-price. Exploratory R&D, managed services and platform evolution are typically structured as retained capacity. We will recommend the structure that best aligns incentives for the work in question.
What is your minimum engagement size?+
We are selective about the engagements we accept. There is no formal minimum, but our model is best suited to clients investing meaningfully in transformation rather than discrete tactical builds.
Delivery & Team
Who actually performs the work?+
Engagements are delivered by senior practitioners — strategy, engineering, data science and change leads — working in small cross-functional pods. We do not staff with junior bench resources hidden behind senior nameplates.
How do you work with client teams?+
We embed alongside client teams from day one. Knowledge transfer is a delivery requirement, not a closing ceremony. Every artefact we produce is intended to be owned and extended by our clients.
What is your geographic footprint?+
We are headquartered in the British Virgin Islands and deliver internationally across European, North American, Middle Eastern and Asia-Pacific time zones. Engagements are typically hybrid — concentrated on-site presence at key inflection points, remote between.
Technology & Governance
Which AI models and platforms do you work with?+
We are vendor-neutral. Engagements draw on OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Meta, selected open-weight providers and the major cloud platforms. Model and platform decisions follow workload fit, not partner economics.
How do you handle data security and confidentiality?+
All engagements operate under written confidentiality terms. Data handling follows least-privilege, data-minimisation and documented-purpose principles. For regulated clients we align to the supervisory frameworks relevant to their jurisdiction.
Can you work with our existing data and technology estate?+
Yes. The majority of our engagements involve meaningful pre-existing estates. We treat brownfield reality as the default — greenfield is the exception.
Do you provide ongoing support after deployment?+
Yes. Clients may take full ownership of deployed systems with our handover documentation, or retain us under managed-service terms for operations, model monitoring and continuous improvement.
Commercial & Legal
Who owns the intellectual property of what you build?+
Client-specific work product is owned by the client. Reusable frameworks, accelerators and proprietary methodology remain with us — licensed to the client for use within the engagement scope.
Where is the company incorporated and how does that affect contracting?+
Western Business Solutions Limited is incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. Engagement contracts are typically governed by a mutually acceptable jurisdiction selected for each client relationship.
How do we begin a conversation?+
The fastest path is a written introduction through our contact channel. We respond to qualified enquiries within two business days.
